Not necessarily. If she knew she was being quoted for a British publication, it isn't unlikely that she would have used that word

No American calls a bunch of people waiting their turn to do something a "queue". We call it a "line." If you verbally asked the average American what the word "queue" was and didn't spell it first they'd say it's the stick you shoot pool or billiards with and would think there was no other definition for such a word of that pronunciation.
