Senior Software Developer Position

Summary:
The primary objective of the Software Developer position is to produce required product following processes in conjunction with team members that is of high quality and is timely.
Responsibilities:
• Creating innovative and elegant software designs to meet current business needs
• Ensuring the integrity of component designs as they pass through all phases of the software development lifecycle
• Playing a hands–on role in driving the successful implementation and enhancements of high-quality system components.
• Works productively as part of a software development team.
• Has a command of current technology.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• 3+ years of C++/C# Object–oriented development in MS Windows environment.
• Demonstrated record of delivering high quality software products to market.
• Extensive knowledge of Windows platform technologies including Win32 API, COM, threading and sockets.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to be a successful member of a team.
• Basic English skills and ability to improve those skills.
• Desire experience with distributed application architectures, UNIX platforms, interaction with off¬–shore development teams.
• Desire knowledge and application of formal software development processes or methodologies, formal design notations like UML
Technical Support Specialist Position
Summary:
The primary objective of this position is to support the Information Technology infrastructure within CQG. This includes providing desktop support to the users within the office as well as supporting delivery of CQG’s product.
Responsibilities:
• Perform on-going design, installation, configuration and maintenance of multiple UNIX and NT servers
• System Administration, including backup and restoration of systems, as well as solving operating system problems.
• Installation of new hardware, operating systems, patches, and security changes
• Coordination of application upgrades and modifications with other departments
• Provide Desktop Support
• Network Maintenance
• Employee startup, including phone, PC, logins, tools, and training
• Coordinating hardware, software, and services for internal users
• Working with Operations and Product Development teams to complete projects and tasks
Education and Experience:
• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent combination of education, experience, and skills.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Experience with tape backup devices and writing information tools for the administration of systems
• Understanding of basic routing concepts
• Advanced documentation skills
• SAN knowledge, clustering technology, and basic understanding of internet connectivity desirable
