Founded in 1987, KAPPA has its main development office in Sophia Antipolis, France and regional offices in Houston and Bahrain. KAPPA is also present in fifteen other countries with local offices and distributors. KAPPA offers Training and Consulting Services worldwide.
Our integrated software platform, ECRIN, is the petroleum industry standard for the analysis of dynamic data, with modules for Pressure Transient Analysis, Production Analysis, Reservoir Simulation, Well Performance Analysis, and Production Logging. ECRIN can be coupled with a server solution that centrally processes and shares permanent gauge data for real time reservoir surveillance and management.
KAPPA Software runs under Windows; commercial version based on C++ and MFC is currently being phased out and replaced with a .NET version.

To participate in the development of its new Software generation, KAPPA is seeking Software Developers at development Center in Saint Petersburg, Russia, with the following profile:

• Master's or Specialist degree in Computer Science
• Minimum 2 year experience in commercial software development
• Good knowledge of the Microsoft Visual Studio environment
• Experience with the .NET 4.0 platform, C#, and WinForms
• Good written and spoken English skills

• Practical experience with DDD would be an advantage
• Practical experience with distributed teams would be an advantage
• Experience with DevExpress library would be an advantage

• Technical background in Petroleum Engineering or a related field, though not required, would be a definite advantage

Office is located at BC Senator (Saint-Petersburg, V.O. 18th line, 31).
Expected salary size: 60-80K RUR
Expected start date: 2nd half of September
