We’re looking for a talented and experienced senior engineer with a strong background in OS Linux and strong experience in C++/Java.
Key Responsibilities
•Participate in development of distributed multimedia content storage and delivery system architecture.
•Development of various server components of the system.
•Develop test benches, monitoring software components, deployment workflow.
Candidate Profile
Pre-requisite Knowledge, Skills and Experience
•Passion for security, scalability, high availability; and code quality.
•Good University background: CS/Maths
•Strong C/C++
•Strong JSE (version 5, 6) skills. Concurrency, NIO, deep understanding of JVM performance and scalability issues. Profiling experience
•Protocols: TCP, UDP, HTTP, RTP, RTSP, RTMP, SSL, SASL, etc.
•Understanding of database technologies and limitations (MySQL).
•ORM knowledge (Hibernate, SQLAlchemy)
•Messaging (AMQP)
•Understanding of soft realtime systems. How to control and monitor system performance.
•Ability to write unit tests, experience with JUnit etc. Ability to write performance tests.
•Ability to describe architecture and write crucial documentation.
•Relevant work experience > 4 yrs
•Good English (writing and speaking)
