Sequoia Retail Systems, Inc. is seeking an experienced software developer to join our expanding team based in our Mississauga offices. This individual will be responsible for developing and maintaining C#, ASP.NET, VB.NET, and legacy VB6 applications and designing complex MS SQL Server databases. Duties will include application design and architecture, user interface design, and testing.

LOCATION: Mississauga, Ontario, Canada

RANGE: 40-65K/year

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Maintain existing and develop new Visual Basic, VB.NET and C# applications
2. Design, configure and deploy complex Microsoft SQL Server databases
3. Test, diagnose and resolve problems with new and existing applications
4. Accurately estimate timelines and report status of development projects
5. Effectively document changes made to applications

ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. As assigned by Project Manager

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
1. Proficiency in C#, VB.NET, APS.NET, SQL, VB6.
2. Expertise with Microsoft SQL Server and relational database modeling concepts in a Microsoft Windows environment.
3. BA/BS or equivalent in a technical discipline, as well as 6+ years of software development experience
4. Ability to accurately set and adhere to deadlines
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate with end users and work in a team with other developers
6. Strong understanding of software development life cycle is required
7. Experience with Windows CE, Palm OS, Linux is desirable
8. Skill in user interface design and familiarity with retail or e-commerce application development is desirable
