K>Notwithstanding any other provisions in the Conditions, if, for
K>reasons beyond its control, the Russian Federation is unable to
K>make payments of principal or interest (in whole or in part) in
K>respect of the Bonds in U.S. dollars (an “Alternative Payment
K>Currency Event”), the Russian Federation shall make such
K>payments (in whole or in part) in Euros, Pound sterling or Swiss
K>francs (the “Alternative Payment Currency”) on the due date at
K>the Alternative Payment Currency Equivalent (as defined in
K>Condition 7(j)) of any such U.S. dollar-denominated amount.
