Nokia has come in for a lot of flak of late over the direction its smartphones are taking, or aren't taking depending upon your viewpoint. Many Nokia watchers have expressed growing frustration with the company as rival platforms like Google's Android and Apple's iOS capture ever more market share and very importantly mindshare. Just yesterday Symbian-Guru, a longstanding website focusing on Symbian closed its doors with its founders citing the reason as a growing discontentment with Symbian as a platform and the hardware Nokia has been putting out. Such criticism has apparently not been lost on Anssi Vanjoki, Nokia's new Mobile Solutions Chief who has posted up his thoughts on the future direction of the company at Nokia Conversations.
